MOBU Doctrine / By-Laws

Article I - Ministries Beliefs

  1. Ministries of Brotherly Understanding is a Non Denominational Religious Organization
    • The primary belief of the Ministry is Universal Energy, instead of a Supreme Overlord or deity over seeing us and controlling our destiny.
    • That we are all gods in our own right, that we have the power to make decisions for our own life, and an understanding that the universe is there to assist us in finding our way and to give us the power to succeed.
  2. Ministries of Brotherly Understanding is founded on three tenets:
    • Do that which is right
    • Do unto others as you would like them to do upon you
    • Everyone should be free to practice their faith however they wish and so long as they don't infringe upon the rights of others.
  3. Our Ministries sermons will be based on real life experiences.  We will not be preaching from the Bible, the Qur'an, the Book of Mormon, the Torah or any other religious books, but these may be used as reference materials if needed.

Article II - Membership

  1. Members of the Ministry will consist of the LGBTQ+ community.  We will be focused on the Gay and Bi-Sexual men.
  2. Members of the Ministry would be individuals that share in the same belief as the Ministry, Universal Energy.
  3. A person shall be considered a member upon approval of the Ministries' Membership Committee.  A person may be received for membership by the following ways:
    • By profession of belief, a person publicly confession personal beliefs in the Universal Energies.  Believing there is a higher power in the universe other than themselves.
    • By accepting that we are all gods in our ow right.  That they have the power to make decisions for their own life, and don't have to seek acceptance or guidance from an extreme overlord or deity.
  4. Other supporters may consist of allies that want to support the primary membership and supports our beliefs.
  5. The sermons may be viewable by the general public without being a member.

Article III - Ministries Staff and Officers

  1. Minister - Reverend Charles G King, Jr.
  2. Ministry Staff - To be determined
  3. Moderator - To be determined
  4. Ministry Scribe - Brother Ron D.
  5. Trustees - To be determined
  6. Treasurer - Royal Professional Services, PLLC

Article IV - Ministries Meetings

  1. Sermons will be performed on camera and posted to the website, social media or other mediums chosen by the Ministry to be viewed by it's members and general public.
  2. Special meetings may be setup and scheduled far enough in advance to be announced on the website and social media.
  3. Special business meetings will be called when needed and with at least a 72-hour notice, and will try to be held around workable schedules.
  4. Quorum consists of those who attend a business meeting that has been properly called.
  5. The current edition of Robert's Rules of Order shall be the authority for parliamentary rules of procedure for all business meetings of the Ministry.

Article V - Ministries / Outreach

  1. Member Events
    • Annual social events for members and guests.
  2. Outreach
    • Working with members of the community that have been incarcerated or in drug recovery and transitioning back into general society.
    • Assist members of the community who are in an abusive relationship and want to break free from the bonds of their abusers.
  3. Recruitment
    • Attend Pride's Nationally within the United States of America to spread our doctrine
    • Attend Pride's Internationally to spread our doctrine
    • Host national event for members and nonmembers for Ministry networking
    • Attend LGBTQ+ events and cruises to spread our doctrine

Article VI - Committees

  1. Committees will be created as the Ministry feels they are needed to assist the Ministry.
